Okay, bloggy friends: Please help me NOT freak out.

This afternoon I noticed some spotting, more like rusty day-before-AF residue. This, accompanied by uterine cramping.

I've already left a message with the nurse at my clinic.

I'm trying to keep calm, not think catalysmic thoughts.

Help!!!

Jem,
It's so hard to say don't panic but let me tell you that this is very, very normal. I never had the rust color discharge but MANY women do and go on to have healthy pregnancies. I DID have cramps several times and still had a healthy baby girl (at almost age 40). Hang in there--I am thinking good thoughts for you!

It is likely that the spotting is implantation spotting and that the cramping is due to your expanding uterus. My very best wishes to you with your pregnancy.

Hang in there. I don't know what's normal or not - but you hang in there!

I agree with Johanna...this sounds all normal and typical, though I can totally see how this would cause you to freak. I would freak, too, even though I know it's normal. I don't think we can help ourselves. Ya know?

:-))

I spotted with the twins. I was told at that time, spotting was very common with IVF and especially multiples. You've got high numbers, so maybe...

Ahem.

It is scary to see, though. Many hugs to you.
