dIUI: beta #2 results

I had hunt them down to get the results of my second beta. I called the clinic at 3:00 p.m. because I couldn't wait any longer. I was practically hyperventilating at noon. My mantra was "I don't know" every time my mind wandered one way or the other, imaging a baby in my arms or miscarriage, D&C and heartache.

Here they are my results
  • HCG = 570
  • Progesterone is 56.4
Even though my HCG didn't quite double from 325 two days ago, the nurse said all was going very well. I'm to continue my medications (progesterone suppositories, baby aspirin, vitamins). First OB Sono is in two weeks, Sep 6. It's with the nurse practitioner, instead of a doc, but that's okay with me. First RE was only available on Sep 8, and I didn't want to wait two extra days to see if there is a gestational sac (or more than one!).

Let the second 2WW commence. I almost added, and the celebration, but you know how we IF'ers are: guarded optimism is the name of the game.

~Jem

P.S. I think my mother was crying when I told her the news. She's not a super emotional person, so this is quite something.

Woo Hoo!!! I know that nothing I can say will make the next two weeks go any faster, but I just want you to know that my second beta only increased 62%. (The minimum they like to see is 60%.) So don't read the numbers too much. Looks like yours was close to 75%, so that's really great! And your P4 is AWESOME!

Here's to the next two weeks flying by and leaving you with wonderful news! So happy for you Jem!
