Yesterday's HSG was worse than I expected, but mercifully fast.
First of all, they had to use a smaller speculum (really?) after trying a regular one, but after that was shoved up there, my cervix numbed, then the real fun began as the inflexible catheter was rammed in and the dye injected. It was extremely uncomfortable. Okay, it hurt. For about 2 minutes. Luckily, the dye went through my fallopian tubes with no trouble and dumped out the other side.
All clear!
And then it was over and the offending catheter and speculum were removed and all was good with the world again.
I did take the Val.ium, which helped, as did the acupuncture treatment before then. Mr. Jem droves us home and took a nap. There was some bleeding after, and blue dye. Luckily it's all a blurry memory at this point and Dr. W called to tell me we were all good to go with my stims on Friday. Oh, joy!
Oh, and my baseline sonogram went well, too. I had that in the morning. All was quiet down there.

Ugh, HSGs. Just thinking about mine gives me the creeps. Mine was very painful, too. I'm glad it went by fast, though, and that your sono went well. Yay for starting stims on Friday!
Sorry to hear your HSG was tough. I had a really hard time with mine too.
But horray for starting stims! I really hope this is finally it for you Jem!
Boo for the painful HSG, but YIPEE for starting stims this week! I'm so excited Jem... I hope that everything continues to look good!
I completely relate to the painfull hsg. I nearly jumped off the table and the nurse had to tell me to stop screaming. I probably scared off the rest of women in the waiting room! Glad you made it through yours! On to big and better things.
You're strong - strong enough to take the pain... and strong enough to let it go today.
Hope you are feeling better.
BTW - how many Valium did you get? Hope the script included one for the road too???
I had a hard time with the HSG too, but glad yours was over quick and that it was all clear in ladyville. Good wishes for your stims.
Sorry about the painful HSG. I always feel as if I should bear my pain silently and so ended up biting my lip until it bled at my sonohystogram.
So three cheers for clear-ness and starting!
You survived! I'm glad the results showed the all clear!
I am so sorry the HSG was rough...mine was too. However, it sounds like the results were fabulous!!! Yippeee!!!! Good for you.
