Let's see....
Mr. Jem pulled his hamstring during a softball game today. I've been helping him ice his leg and feed him and give him TLC all day. Poor guy.
I spent the afternoon gardening. First I weeded the the raised beds, then I planted tomatoes, cukes (lemon cukes), lettuce, and strawberries. I also planted snap dragons and echinacea. Then I mulched and watered them in. I got totally covered in dirt and water - fixing the automatic watering system means me getting drenched - every time. I loved every minute!
I also worked a little this morning. Nothing too major.
How was your weekend? How did you distract yourself from IF issues?

I had ALMOST the amount of fun you did. I scrubbed and then sealed a slate tile floor with four coats of chemicals! FUN, FUN!
Lemon cukes?? I never heard of these - that sounds so yummy! I injected oil in my ass this weekend, so I think you win for better weekend. :)
Sounds very relaxing.
My husband and I had movie date night this weekend. It was a nice night out.
Love hearing about the gardening bc I think I'd be really bad with it!
I enjoyed spending Sat in Chicago - doing yoga & shopping, then flew home to DC and prepared for a women's shelter dinner last night. Talked with a woman who has 4 kids in foster care. Whoa. Glad I was there to listen & encourage her...
Sorry, didn't mean to end on heavy stuff!!
I love to garden!!! Nice!
I wen on a long hike to distract myself from IF-- will post pics this week!
Spring is very healing :)
Dirt therapy- some of the best out there, next to kicking someone in the a-s who sorely deserves it ;)
Your garden sounds wonderful!
xo
I love getting dirty outside in the yard. I can't wait until they landscape our yard so I can really play around out there. And "yay!" for starting a new cycle. Good job on the SA, Mr. Jem! That's great news!
I salute you for being a good gardener. I did some weeding this weekend and hated every minute of it. I wish I could enjoy it as much as you do, but unfortunately, it remains a chore for me. But it satisfying to eat produce that I grew myself!
I also worked hard to distract from IF thoughts, well other than some serious Baby Dancing (TMI I Know). We painted lampshades and I made table cloths and overlays and baked lasagne.
I must say I am jealous of your gardening, sounds like you will soon be enjoying some fresh produce in your kitchen.
I have never heard of lemon cukes...
Thanks for sharing

I am always super gung-ho with the gardening in the spring -- eager to clean out the beds and get new stuff planted. And then all my interest drops off as soon as I get to the weeding part of the summer. But I love, love, love digging in the dirt at the beginning of the season!
