Baseline ultrasound, take 2 & PICSI

This morning I had my baseline u/s, two weeks after my first one. We are definitely "go" this time 'round. I order my meds tomorrow, so they arrive on Wednesday. Friday we have our injection class, as we start stims that day.

Whooo hooo!

We got an interesting call from our clinic asking if we want to be part of a study called "PICSI" - it's for couples doing IVF with ICSI. It's a new technique that helps them select the best sperm for ICSI that will result in increased pregnancy rates.

The cat just jumped on me... I'll post more on PICSI later...

That sounds like an awesome opportunity. Please tell more about it as we're about to do our first ICSI in the next two weeks :-)

Hooray for getting things started! We did the PICSI study as well...though we were in the control group. It was cool to be able to hear what his HBA binding level was--ask them after the PICSI SA and see if they'll tell you. I wrote about it here...

Great news! And the PICSI study sounds interesting. I'm so glad you're moving again.

I'd love to hear more about the study -- I also just ordered the meds, and start soon too, and would love to hear about the PICSI since we are def doing ICSI.

We recently did PICSI and the verdict from mrs IVF and I was that it was certainly of benefit, but we are hardly Dr's. Our results for cycle 5 so far have been the best yet.

MisterIVF: wow, I'm glad it worked for you. Anything to make the process more successful.

Oh, and for those of you who asked about PICSI, Murgdan's post is much better than anything I could write. So thorough!
