Bad news

Just got a call from Dr. Wonderful. Mr. Jem's donation this morning contained NO sperm. Zero. Zilch. Nada. We were planning on freezing it as backup for the fresh sample day of ER, which will be next Wed or Thur.

He'll try again on Friday.

It's like a kick to the gut.

Sorry I don't have a better post to welcome those visiting from IComLeavWe.

To learn about how we got here, check out this post, my first post.

That is terrible! I wish it didn't happen. Keep trying, you'll get some swimmers!

Jem, I'm so sorry! I hope that things are different with Friday's SA. Will you proceed with the IVF and freeze your eggs? Hugs!

I don't remember reading it in your previous posts, but have they found a varicocele?

Oh no!!! I've been in your situation not too long ago. Fortunately there's this little procedure called TESA that made it possible to fertilize 5 of my 8 eggs. There's still hope :)

Oh no, that is terrible!! Has that ever happened before? I really hope Friday's sample is much better.

What's TESA? My dr didn't mention it!

In the meantime, we definitely hope Friday and ER samples go well.

And no, this hasn't happened before. His numbers were low, but never zero.

TESA is where they go in with a needle and fish the little guys out. MESA is where they go in and biopsy the testes and get the little guys out from the biopsy. D had the MESA done twice...
