(Today's post will be all about pregnancy. If you don't feel like
reading about that right now, I completely understand. Hope to see you
again soon.)
Total Weight Loss/Gain: I'm up around 7 pounds from the date of my dIUI. I worry that I've gained too much.
Maternity Clothes: I can still fit into my pants, although afternoons are tough because I'm more bloated then. I have bought a couple of maternity tops at the local consignment store (love that place!). Mostly I can still wear my regular clothes, minus the really tight stuff.
Stretch marks: none yet.
Sleep: I'm usually ready for bed at 9 pm, and if I miss that window, I get waaaay over tired. My sleep is better now that I run the humidifier - to block the sound of Mr. Jem snoring, mostly. I do get up to pee once or twice a night. And I seem to wake at 3:30 a.m. just because.
Movement: Nope.
Cravings/Aversions: Italian food. Constantly. Oh, and chili cheese fries. And hamburgers. However, a slab of chicken or fish is totally revolting. I had a hard time swallowing my lamb chop last night. Had to smother it it in sauce.
Gender: It's a Girl!
Symptoms: I heart 2nd trimester. My nausea has subsided almost 100% and I am more energetic (until 9 pm). B00bs still big, but much less sore than just a couple of weeks ago.
What I miss: Raw fish on my sushi, coffee. Totally worth it, tho!
What I look forward to: Being able to feel the baby's movement.
Moods: Happy (I'm pregnant!!!!). My fuse is a little shorter, tho. Mr. Jem: "You've been a little directive and short with me lately." Me: "I'm only 5'2"!" Mr. Jem: "You've been acting 4'11"!!!!"
Milestones: First trimester CVS test results were all good. Next OB sono is tomorrow.
Medical concerns: Is my baby alive in there? Oh, that's just regular IF paranoia.
Sex?: Mr. Jem is very hesitant to engage in any type of activity, but a girl's got needs...!

Misc: Looking forward to my 13 week OB appointment tomorrow. I'll have a full physical (pap, etc.) and go over my blood work and CVS results. I just want to hear her heartbeat!! No, I haven't gotten a doppler (yet). Not sure I will.

Congrats on 13 weeks! I'm looking forward to having more energy : )
Yay for the second tri! I'm living for that energy renewal... only a couple more weeks for me!
I loved your short fuse dialogue, totally made me laugh! Glad to hear that the cvs went well and that all is looking good.
Jem, brilliant news on the CVS front. That's wonderful news. And I'm really glad you're into the (comparatively) more peaceful waters of the 2nd T.
And I felt the same about slabs of meat, actually...really couldn't face 'em.
Welcome to the 2nd tri!! Can't wait to hear about tomorrow's appointment!
I'm usually a chicken girl, but during pregnancy, I craved red meat. Almost couldn't stand chicken.
Glad everything's going so well for you!
Loving the status update! So excited to "see" you so happy :)
Love these updates! I could not be happier for you!! It is so enjoyable to root on an IF sister!
SO glad to hear that all is going well! This is very very exciting!!
