... in the press.
Continuing our stories of babies being stolen, check out this article about a trial going on in Argentina. Based on the efforts of "the Grandmothers," former dictators Jorge Rafael Videla and Reynaldo Bignone face life sentences if convicted of kidnapping children of "disappeared" political prisoners decades ago.
The defendants claim it's a leftist plot, but the Grandmothers have DNA proof that these children were stolen and that there was a systematic plan to steal the babies of political prisoners.
How crazy is that?
(I am I bumming you out with my articles? If so, sorry. The word can be a nasty place)

It's terrible, isn't it? Many years ago there was a very good film on the subject: The Official Story. It's been twenty years since I saw it but I still remember it.
It's really shocking!
How awful.
What is with these people!!?? Seriously!
This is really shocking stuff. Why people have no regard for a child's ties to their families is beyond me.
I am glad you're posting this stuff. It's reality with a hard slap in the face. Many IF women look to other countries to adopt children and my take is that it's good to alert women aware that the children they are considering might be orphaned for reasons that aren't quite legitimate (and to investigate).
