CD1: take 3 (fer shizzle) - Updated

She's here!!!!!!! AF is here! The game is on!

Had a stressful crap day yesterday. The tension of waiting for AF was too much can you say PMS? Got home and my hum.ira rx was waiting for me. Only it needed to be refrigerated - I freaked out bcs Mr Jem should have seen the sticker on the box. I opened it up, and it was barely cold. Freak out. It should have been delivered yesterday, but he didn't hear the delivery guy knock. I'm afraid the cold chain was compromised. What to do?

Going to set my scan appointment today. Excited! Do I go back to acupuncture? it might help with my stress level. Oh, speaking of which, I bought and downloaded the Cirle and Bloom IVF meditation series. Like it, but still feel totally stressed.

-Jem

Update: Freedom.Pharmacy is reshipping my order, no questions asked (yay!). I went and had acupuncture, plus an abdominal massage. Feel like 100 bucks.

I don't know what to tell you about the meds, but maybe you could call your doctor's office and ask?
Congrats on it FINALLY being cd1 :).
I would vote yes on the acupuncture - if only for helping with the stress. The studies are pretty positive on the improved success rates for IVF with acupuncture, though, so I say go for it :).

I would maybe give the pharmacy a call and see how they advise you, just for peace of mind. I'm thinking that you're probably a-ok, though. ;)

Don't think you need to worry about the meds but usually there's a max temp you shouldn't exceed, maybe call Humira and ask... or maybe have them resend the meds as the container was "broken".

Hooray for CD 1!!

Yay for CD 1 -- finally!!

Id say go with acupuncture, nice relaxation tapes, and also (my personal favorite) movies. Movies are the only thing that keep me sane during a cycle!

Also, for peace of mind, listen to the rest of the girls and call the pharmacy and check. I'm sure it's fine, but just so have no doubts.

Finally, she has shown up! Let's get this train moving. I would check with the doctor about the meds being left out. I have no experience with that medication so I can't offer any good advice. I'm so hoping that things go great for you this time around. And I vote for you to do whatever you feel will reduce your stress. Nothing feels better than being stress free...well as much as an IF girl can be when going through IVF. :-)

Oh, man I'm getting on the Circle bloom wagon too. Should be interesting!

Can't wait to follow your cycle!

Jem - BREATHE! LOL. I am sure the meds will be fine, and it sounds like you could benefit from some acupuncture along with those meditations. Can't wait to hear more about how your cycle goes! HUGS.

congrats on the official CD1!!! i wouldn't worry too much about the meds. i believe it just shortens the shelf life but you're going to use it now anyway. i ran into a few things like that this past cycle and it turned out okay. :)

and yes - if acu will help, then you should do it! i did that and C+B. the more relaxing, the better!

good luck!

Wow, I didn't know you were taking hu_mira...what was the Dx for that? I am so glad to hear that they sent you a new batch. That stuff is damned expensive!

Also...where are you doing abdominal massage? I am in town from the east coast and would love to meet a practitioner. I totally think I have blood flow issues to me uterus and am sure this could help.
