9dp5dt: Nope

Nope, I'm not testing, that is. I don't know if I'm pregnant or not. Testing won't change this. So I'm NOT going to test today and just wait for my beta tomorrow. As Genevieve commented on my last post, I want to hang on to the "I'm pregnant" thing for as long as possible (even if I'm not convinced and won't be until I hear the results tomorrow).

Nope. No HPT or POAS for me.

Instead, Mr. Jem and I are going to the City to see the Sklar Brothers perform as part of the SF Sketchfest. Thought a little humor might be a good way to spend this rainy afternoon.

8dp5dt: Panic

Folks, I think I'm having a panic attack. I have shortness of breath, and my brain is going a million miles a minute/ I feel like my hands are shaking and I'm grumpy and snapping at the mister for no reason.

Just two more sleeps until beta and I'm going out of my mind!!!

So here's my question for you all: To pee on a stick or not.

How many of you do pee before beta? If you do, how soon? My acupuncturist warned me that if I test today it could give me a false negative and I should wait until tomorrow. I see so many blogs where people start testing at trigger and don't stop. I've always thought that POAS was a the devil.

What would you do?

9dp3dt: "Operation Distraction"

Symptoms? Sore b00bs. Had some nausea this morning, but realized it was probably my vitamin pill (Darn!).

Beta day is Thursday. Part of me wants to POAS, but the other part of me doesn't. Total Good Angel / Bad Angel thing...

I will resist for the meantime. I know that those pee sticks are pure evil.

"Operation Distraction" is going swimmingly.

Friday I had a girl's night with two friends, one of whom has a 4-m-o daughter. I got lots of quality cuddle time with the baby, which HAS to be good juju.  Right?

Saturday Mr Jem and I cleaned the house (I LOVE a clean house. It makes me feel so good - I'm weird that way). We went to a very fun party in the evening for a friend's birthday. There was live music and dancing. Unfortunately we had to leave a bit early to go home for the PIO injection.

4th of July was our 4th Annual Road Trip to Cali.stoga. Five of us drove up. We ate out, "took the waters" (I only went up to my upper thighs in the not-too-cold pool), and then watched the fireworks at the local county fair. Fun.

Yesterday I had my acupuncture treatment and then was off to a picnic in the park that evolved into a BBQ at our house and games into the evening.

Tonight I am attending my first Resolve meeting. Not sure what to expect. I already get so much support from the Blog community, in addition to my family and the IRL friends who are in the know, but it will be nice to meet some local women in the same boat as me. Do any of you attend those meetings locally? How is it?

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Pop_Rocks gone

Monday morning: symptoms have died down to almost zero. Yes, on Friday it felt like I had Pop_Rocks (yes, I'm a child of the 70s!) going crazy underneath my lower abs! Now, almost nothing - the occasional twinge on the right side.

I'm back to work, after almost three weeks off. I'm actually happy to be back in the office, back to my routine. I woke early this morning before my alarm clock, spent 20 minutes doing meditation/relaxation. What a great way to start the day!

Saturday's beta seems like ages from now. As much as I want to know what's really going on, there's NO WAY I will be POAS! I don't want to relive last month's fiasco.
