20w2d: pregnancy update

(Today's post will be all about pregnancy. If you don't feel like reading about that right now, I completely understand. Hope to see you again soon.)

Total Weight Loss/Gain: +19 lbs (yikes!)
 
Maternity Clothes: Pants = 100%. Still wearing some of my regular tops. 

Stretch marks: Mostly same as last week: some on my hips. New: dark line down the middle of my tummy from my breasts to my pubic bone.

Sleep: Same as last week: I tend to fall asleep on the couch next to Mr. Jem and with Sharky on my lap around 8:00. I usually wake around 10, and then have a hard time falling back to sleep. Always wake at 3:30 a.m. - gotta pee. 

Movement: Actually felt her move with my hand on my belly. Mr. Jem got to feel it too!

Cravings/Aversions: Same as last week: Appetite and capacity to eat has increased from last week. Not craving junk food like before, so I'm taking advantage of the healthy eating, bringing my own lunches (rather than buying chili cheese fries). I still get full really fast.

Gender: It's (still) a Girl!

Symptoms:  Slight edema. Yes, I'm wearing my rings on a chain around my neck, as my fingers are swelling. My ankles turned to cankles last week for a couple of days. I elevated them and decided to take it easy, so the swelling has gone down. My blood pressure is normal, so I'm not too concerned.

 

What I miss: Nothing!

 

What I look forward to: Getting the nursery together (eventually, still doing research). 24 week and (possible) viability.

Moods: Same as last week: Very, very happy and excited. Grumpy after being awakened from my evening nap.

Milestones:  This week's 20 week scan. Wanna see how our little one is starting to look like a baby, rather than some scary alien creature? Here are some pictures!

Yup, we're really having a girl and here's proof!

Medical concerns: Weight gain and edema.

Sex?: After last week, nada.

Misc: Brunch last Sunday for all the women in my Resolve group who have gotten pregnant recently was wonderful. There are 9 of us and we plan on meeting monthly. We even set up a meal exchange - each of us will be bringing 2 meals to a new mom right after she gives birth.
